The televised address of solidarity from Windsor Castle will air this Sunday (April 5) after unprecedented events threw the country into lockdown.

Special addresses from the monarch during troubled periods are a rarity- this will be just the Queen’s fourth speech during her 68-year-reign, outside of her annual Christmas Day broadcasts.

Prince Charles tested positive for COVID-19 on March 12, but has since recovered.

The address will be shown on the royal social media channels as well as on TV and radio, including @RoyalFamily on Twitter.
