''Well known' ferret stolen from hutch in Mansfield reunited with overjoyed owner

An albino ferret that was stolen from its hutch in Mansfield has been reunited with its owner after she made a desperate plea to residents to help find him.

One-year-old Bruce was swiped from owner Chloe Pickwell’s back garden on Tuesday (May 26), leaving her heartbroken.

Chloe took to social media to appeal to Mansfield residents to help find her beloved pet.

Bruce was already ‘well known’ in the community thanks to his friendly personality, distinctive colouring and the fact Chloe would walk him around the town centre every day.

And sure enough there were multiple sightings of the adorable animal around the town before a man finally called Chloe to tell her he’d found Bruce.

“He was literally round the corner from me,” said Chloe. “Thank you so much for helping me find a Bruce, my heart is whole again.”
