Oli Tatterson – known as ‘Mr T’ to his pupils – teaches PE at Leamington Primary & Nursery Academy and has set himself the challenge of running 100 miles in the month of February, reflecting a mile for each year of Captain Tom’s life.
Money raised during the challenge will be split equally between Captain Tom’s Foundation and raising money for a new school minibus.

Oli said: “We already have 21 staff members who are aiming to reach their milestones during February and children are busy clocking up the miles too.”
“Captain Tom has been such an inspiration to our whole school community and continues to inspire us still.
"We hope that the children, staff and school community can get behind our challenge and we are already seeing some very determined efforts to reach our goals.”

"The spirit and determination of our school community means that I am sure we will succeed and hopefully, in a small way, honour the inspiring kindness and determination of Captain Tom.”
