Kaye McGuire, headteacher, said: “We wanted to show our children just how much they had been missed, and how much we valued the parental contribution during remote learning.”

Throughout their first week back, children spent their time reconnecting with their friends and adults within school and based their learning on a story written about the pandemic called ‘The World Made a Rainbow’.

Each child received a copy of the story text and the rainbow image to take home along with a thank you to parents.

Kaye said: “We want to thank parents for supporting the school in its mission to give children the best education possible.

"The children have returned and once again the sound of children fills the school.”
