Sutton hospital given Easter boost by East Midlands homebuilder
King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton has received a donation of Easter eggs from David Wilson Homes, in a seasonal gesture of goodwill for its patients.
The housebuilder, which is currently developing homes at The Hawthorns on Beck Lane near the hospital, donated the chocolate treats to help spread some Easter cheer across the wards.

The eggs were collected as part of an internal Easter donation drive at the company’s head office in Leicestershire, giving employees the opportunity to help brighten Easter for patients at the hospital.
Part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, King’s Mill provides a wide range of essential services, including emergency care, maternity services and specialist paediatric support.
Jo Thornley, community involvement manager at the trust, said: “We’d like to share a huge thank you for the kind staff at David Wilson Homes.
"The eggs made Easter extra special for our patients and their families.”
John Reddington, managing director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, added: “Supporting the courageous patients at King’s Mill Hospital means a great deal to us.
“By donating Easter eggs, we wanted to offer a small gesture of encouragement during what can be a difficult time, and we hope these treats bring a touch of Easter joy.”
Continuing its support for NHS staff, David Wilson Homes is offering its key worker depost contribution scheme at the development on Beck Lane in Sutton.
Eligible key workers, including hospital staff, could receive £1,000 towards their deposit for every £20,000 spent on a new home at The Hawthorns, just a short walk from King’s Mill Hospital.
