Neil, who suffered bullying himself as a child, said: "As a kid I was quite goofy and when I started secondary school my dad was made redundant.
"I had free school meals and hand-me-down clothes and I used to get bullied because of that and my teeth.
"My mum and dad also smoked and so I got told I smelt."
The 41-year-old who teaches self defence classes, mixed martial arts and boxing, contacted Amy to offer her son one year's free membership at Revolution Gym.

Neil hopes that by training, making friends and working out Jaydan's confidence will improve.
"The first session I got him the gloves and wraps and he was just smiling," he said.
"You could tell he was really shy and he is just the sweetest kid you have ever seen.

The gym owner explained why it is important to help people and show them kindness.
"I just hope it shows people to treat people the way you expect to be treated yourself,” Neil added.
"I am quite a giving person anyway, if I can help someone or change someone's life I will.
"It helps me and my own demons knowing I can help other people."
