Suspected drug dealer charged and remanded in custody after car stop in Nuthall
A suspect has been put before the courts after police seized socks containing drugs following a car stop.
Information was passed on after an off-duty officer picked up on a strong smell of cannabis coming from a parked car and an occupant counting a large amount of cash.
Inquiries were carried out and officers subsequently spotted and followed the vehicle before bringing it to a stop, around 5.10pm on Sunday, August 16, as they approached the A610 Nuthall roundabout.
Searches carried out resulted in wraps of suspected Class A drugs, namely crack cocaine, being seized along with wraps of cannabis, a bag of suspected heroin and two socks containing drugs.

A large quantity of cash was also recovered along with scales and phones.
Reece Bullmore, 29, of Marshall Street, Frog Island, Leicester, has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (crack cocaine and heroin) and a Class B drug (cannabis).
Bullmore appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 18, and was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on September 15.
PC Jessica French, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Significant quantities of drugs were seized and removed from the streets following this car stop and we are pleased to have charged a suspect in connection with this incident.

“Drugs can have a devastating impact on communities and literally ruin the lives of everyone they touch.
“That’s why we will always do everything in our power to put anyone we suspect of dealing these substances before the courts.”
