A substantial reward has been offered for information leading to the return of an elderly chihuahua who has been missing from her Nottinghamshire home for seven days.

Bonny, a black long-haired chihuahua was spooked by loud fireworks on November 6 and bolted from her Newstead Village home.

The partially-sighted dog has now been missing for a week and her owners are now offering a ‘substantial’ reward for information leading to her return.

Lisa Dean from Beauty’s Legacy is helping the owner by coordinating search parties, tracker dogs and drones to try and find the dog, and is asking for the public’s help.

She explains: “She has been missing for a week now and we need to find her quickly – she will be cold, hungry and terrified by now.

"Her owner has offered a substantial reward for information leading to her safe return.

"If anyone in the Newstead village area can check their sheds, gardens or nearby undergrowth, that would be a great help.

"The important thing though is to check carefully and quietly as she is very small and will be easily spooked.
