Before we know it, spring will have sprung, the clocks will be going forward and we’ll be looking ahead to those summer holidays.
If that doesn’t get you in the mood for getting out and about this weekend, we don’t know what will!
So tuck in to our weekly guide to places to go and things to do across Mansfield, Ashfield and the rest of Nottinghamshire.
Many of the area’s theme parks and outdoor attractions are now open to herald their new 2023 season. Mansfield is hosting a range of music and drama shows at the Palace Theatre, as well as interesting exhibitions, while we have plenty of ideas for places to take the kids.
Before you set off, please check the websites of the individual venues for admission prices and opening times.
Have a great weekend!

11. Sherlock Holmes mystery
Everyone recognises this guy. It is, of course, the fictional investigator Sherlock Holmes, whose detective skills bring him to Mansfield's Palace Theatre tomorrow (Thursday) night for a drama presented by the Blackeyed Theatre group. 'Sherlock Holmes: Valley Of Fear' brings to life Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's thrilling final Holmes novel and is crammed full of adventure, mystery and corruption, not to mention the sinister work of Professor Moriarty. 12. Photography exhibition on mental health
A photography exhibition that aims to show how mental health feels has opened at Mansfield Museum on Leeming Street and runs until Saturday, March 25. More than 40 images of local people, portraying a range of feelings, are presented by Carrie Austin Photography, based in Sutton.
