Six fire stations called out to a building blaze at Mansfield

FIREFIGHTERS from six stations were called out to attend a building blaze in the early hours of Saturday morning in Mansfield.

Firefighters from Mansfield, Edwinstowe, Blidworth, Warsop, Ashfield, Bolsover, Shirebrook, Chesterfield and Long Eaton attended an incident in a building on Beardall Street, just off Rosemary Street, at 3.52am, on Saturday, September 19

The fire crews used eight breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and an areal ladder platform to put the fire out.

During the incident, the A6009 Rosemary Street in both directions was closed, from Wood Street to Ladybrook Lane. Nottinghamshire police and ambulance crews were also in attendance.

In it latest Tweet 15, at 9.35am, on Saturday, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that the fire in Mansfield had now been put out and that Rosemary Street was now open.

Earlier today, at around 6.15am, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service had reported that today "we were called at 3.52am following reports of a fire in Mansfield.

"Crews from Mansfield, Edwinstowe, Blidworth, Warsop, Bolsover, Ashfield, Shirebrook, Chesterfield and Long Eaton are in attendance, working hard to put the fire out.

"The Police are in attendance and Rosemary Street in Mansfield is currently closed. People were advised to stay clear of the area.

Ashfield Fire Station had posted: "An appliance from Ashfield Fire Station and five other Fire Appliances are dealing with an incident on Beardall Street Mansfield. Parts of Rosemary Street are closed. Please avoid the area. Police and Ambulance are also in attendance."
