Shirebrook care home staff in the running for three top awards
Richmond Care Home is in the running for a trio of Great British Care Awards, which recognise excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
The nominees at Richmond Care Home include Kate Birch and Natasha Westwood, who have been nominated for ‘The Dignity in Care’ award and the ‘Care Home Activities Organiser’ award, respectively.

Hide AdThe entire care home team has been nominated for the ‘Putting People First’ award.
And this isn’t the first time that this Shirebrook care home has been nominated, as Kate and Natasha were both finalists in The Great British Care Awards in 2019.
Kate said: “It’s an honour to see staff at Richmond Care Home nominated in The Great British Care Awards again. Receiving these nominations is a testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment to providing the highest standards of care.
“Richmond is a big part of all our lives. We strive to ensure our residents are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.”

The team worked tirelessly during the recent coronavirus pandemic to keep residents safe and entertained.
The daughter of one Richmond resident said: “You will not find a better home than this. The staff are fantastic.
"They are a true credit to their profession.”
The finalists of The Great British Care Awards will attend a regional gala dinner later in the year when they will learn if they have made it through to the national finals.
