We’re unearthing the stories, the people, and the places that time might have faded but never forgotten.
So grab a cuppa, get comfortable, and prepare to reminisce about the way we were.

9. Bull Farm School
Bull Farm schoolchildren enjoy a day out in 1986. Bull Farm Middle School closed in 2001, and Bull Farm First School and Nursery also closed down. The educational needs of the area are now served by other institutions, and new developments are taking place on the site. Photo: National World

10. Leeming Street and Toothill Lane
The corner of Leeming Street and Toothill Lane. Today, both streets are seeing investment aimed at blending their historic character with modern commercial and leisure uses, enhancing the overall town centre experience. Photo: National World

11. Boots
Boots was located here before it moved elsewhere in the town centre. The iconic, Grade II listed building at 11 Leeming Street was one of the first Boots stores in the country, opening in 1902 (or 1901), the building is now vacant and its future use is uncertain, however, Boots continues to operate in Mansfield in two active locations. 12. General Hospital
How Mansfield General Hospital looked in 1980. The hospital closed its doors on September 13, 1992, with services gradually being transferred to the nearby King's Mill Hospital. The building then lay empty for many years, becoming an "eyesore" and a target for vandalism, before it was finally demolished in a six-month process that began in November 2013.
