Portland College's Woodland Adventure Zone wins award for excellence in innovation and design

The top prize in its class at the Mansfield and Ashfield Business Awards 2020 was presented at an online ceremony.

Edward Johnstone, assistant principal for development said: “We are thrilled with this, yet another award to recognise our innovative Woodland Adventure Zone!

"To be honoured by the Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Business Awards means such a lot. The online awards ceremony was a great event, with energy filled hosts supported by an excellent technical delivery. We can’t wait for next year!”

Set amongst acres of pine trees within Sherwood Forest, the Woodland Adventure Zone includes a seven-metre high climbing tower, 90 metre zipline, bushcraft activities, gravity trail, woodland walks and much more.

The purpose-built facility is fully accessible to wheelchair users and people with disabilities.

The adventure zone is Covid secure and is open now to school groups, families and businesses who are looking for a local team building day.
