In the contest, she takes her own photographs using her iPhone 11 and a timer. Her latest ‘national costume’ shot, showing her in a red gown waving a union jack, was taken in a field near the DD and E Bates farm shop, near Mansfield. She has just released images of herself in the swimsuit category.

Madara said: “I caused a bit of a stir doing the national costume picture, the farmer wondered what on earth was going on in his field, this crazy woman in a red gown waving a flag! He came over, and we had a laugh, he went off chuckling! It’s not something you see everyday!”

"Part of the competition is about challenging yourself, taking my own pictures is part of that challenge, a lot of the girls hire private photographers.

"I hope through the competition I can help people, it’s an opportunity to raise awareness of autism and special needs issues and inspire mums and women to love themselves for who they are. I also like making people laugh, you can’t take yourself too seriously.

"At the moment, there are lots of issues in lockdown - things like isolation, home schooling and difficulties are not new for families with special needs children. I want to tell mums they are doing OK.”

The beauty contest voting is open until February 17. To vote see http://topoftheworld.lv/en/vote and https://www.facebook.com/452533391869226/posts/1166631903792701/.
