One of the best aspects of Mansfield is its strong sense of community. Various groups come together to offer diverse support services and sessions. For example, Mansfield Community & Voluntary Service has a strong working relationship with charities and community groups in the area. Volunteers and staff from different groups work together for the benefit of residents and our district. Mansfield offers the best of both worlds, as it is situated between cities and rural countryside. It's just a train ride away from Nottingham City Centre and just under an hour's car ride from Sheffield. The district is also surrounded by greenery, farmers' fields, Sherwood Forest, and quiet rural villages. The semi-rural pockets of the district provide a sense of stability away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and city life.
