People lined the streets to celebrate Mansfield Carnival

Led by dance troupes, gymnasts and musicians, the parade snaked its way around the market square before the party got started on the Leeming Street main stage where DJ Kilo and MC Charm led the celebrations along with a range of fabulous artists, bands and dancers entertaining the crowds.

Down in the Market Place, there were delicious treats, games, food and produce stalls and ZoneGo, their PA system and entertainment area and hundreds of people celebrated all the things great about our town.

A spokesman from Mansfield District Council said: “We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who cheered, sang, danced, waved a flag and had a good time.

“You told us that the event helps unite neighbours; encourages involvement in community; gives everyone a stronger sense of belonging; had a positive impact on wellbeing; offered people the chance to relax, socialise and created lasting memories with family and friends.”
