Following enquiries, the woman was further arrested in relation to a burglary at a pub in Devonshire Square, Sutton, on July 2 where a number of tills had been stolen.

Darren Spencer, 44, of no fixed abode, was subsequently charged with one count of burglary and Natasha Clark, 40, of Warnadene Road, Sutton, was charged with three counts of burglary.

They have both been remanded to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Detective Constable Dave Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police’s burglary team, said: “Suffering an incident like this can be extremely distressing to business owners and seriously impact financially and emotionally.”
