Nottinghamshire Scouts hold virtual Remembrance weekend to remember our fallen heroes

Members of a local Nottinghamshire scout group took part in a ‘Lest We Forget’ virtual camp to remember our fallen soldiers.

A total of 42 members of 1st Bilsthorpe Scout Group took part in a range of activities at their virtual Remembrance camp.

The children took part in a range of different activities including poppy making, air activity badge work and decorating poppy-shaped cookies.

They also played a range of games and members versus parents challenges.

Group Scout leader, Graham Baguley, said: “Our members took part in a range of activities over Zoom, similar to the Scout Fest we held during the previous lockdown.

"On the Sunday we joined local preachers of Sherwood Forest Methodist Circuit to attend a virtual Remembrance Sunday church service along with members of 10th Mansfield Scout Group.

"Everyone then took part in a national two minute silence at 11am on our doorsteps.”
