This new grant will fund the continuation of the service, which has rapidly adapted to meet the new challenges imposed by the coronavirus crisis.
Beneficiaries in Nottinghamshire will now continue to benefit from a timetable of regular one-to-one health and wellbeing checks, recovery check-ins, online training, support and Zoom group facilitation.
The range of support will continue to expand over the next six months, during which time further funding will be pursued to secure the future of the service.

Graham Miller, Double Impact chief executive, said: “We are absolutely over the moon that the National Lottery Community Fund has chosen to continue to support our vital work in Nottinghamshire for a further six months, especially during this critical time when people are isolated by lockdown.
“Isolation is a key feature of addiction, and a risk factor for relapse in those who are already in recovery.
“This funding will go a long way to prevent that, thereby protecting local frontline NHS and other services.”
