New features at Light Post Farm set to illuminate Nottinghamshire attraction
Light Post Farm returns with spectacular new features introduced to the magical festive trail for a special after-dark exploration of White Post Farm & Zoo.
The award-winning farm attraction in Nottinghamshire will once again be transformed into a sparkling 1km Christmas trail with the chance to meet all the animals including newborn lambs expected in December.
This year introduces a new music, light, and laser show at the farm’s pond, with vibrant colours, lighting effects, and a curated soundtrack.
The popular Light Maze returns, alongside a sparkling triangular walkway, offering immersive experiences for visitors.

Now in its third year, Light Post Farm has become a key Christmas event, with families praising the lights, staff, animal encounters, and children’s activities. More dog-friendly evenings have been added, allowing dogs to visit every Thursday during the event.
A giant Christmas tree in the Silver Barn will be decorated with ornaments made by Nottingham College SEN students. The farm’s zoo licence has enabled it to welcome new species and develop new enclosures, including the arrival of Alf the tapir and other baby animals.
Director Richard Walpole said the team is committed to creating a magical and affordable festive experience, with more than 60 per cent of 2025 customers already booked to return. He highlighted the farm’s ongoing investment and the balance of nostalgia and innovation.
Visitors can enjoy festive food and drink, including crumble pots and a secret menu item. Light Post Farm runs from November 21 to December 23 on selected evenings, with pre-booked time slots. Prices start at £13.50, with group and carer rates available. The trail is accessible, with free parking and is within 30 minutes’ drive of Nottingham, Mansfield, Newark, and Worksop.
