Amy, 24, a medical secretary, set herself the target when she was crowned Miss Mansfield and Sherwood Forest on July 5 2019.

The money she has already generated will pay for 2,000 people to contact the Dementia UK helpline and access free advice.
Amy explained why it was important to choose a charity that she had a personal connection with.

She organised themed pub quiz nights and a 1950s style afternoon tea in Pleasley - the town her grandma grew up in - to help her reach her £5,000 goal.
Amy hopes her commitment to her charity work will go some way to changing the perceptions of beauty contests.
"Miss Mansfield is not a typical pageant, it's more of an ambassador programme and it's about your charity work and what you do to help the community,” she explained.

Amy will visit local businesses, care homes and primary schools on March 6 as part of Dementia UK's 'Time for a Cuppa' campaign.
The annual event encourages organisations to hold a coffee morning to fund the cost of specialist dementia nurses who give clinical and emotional support for families living with dementia.
Amy will also be representing her home town in America later this year, as she is set to attend the Miss Ohio Scholarship Programme and visit Mansfield's sister city.
