Meet the big-hearted 11-year-old who's selling rainbows for NHS heroes in Mansfield

A caring 11-year-old girl from Mansfield is capturing hearts and raising vital funds by selling ‘rainbows’ for the town’s NHS heroes.

Grace Sudell began making the plastic bead rainbows and delivering them to homes on her street as a hobby, hoping to brighten peoples’ day during lockdown.

And the Sherwood Primary School pupil was overwhelmed by the response she had.

“She received lots of lovely comments saying it had really cheered people up,” said dad Martin Sudell.

“Then people started posting on Facebook about how Grace made them so happy with this kind gesture.

People began to ask if they could buy them, which lead Grace to want to donate anything she made to the NHS.”

Grace has made a whopping £100 so far and is determined to raise even more to help frontline workers.

“We are so proud of Grace,” added Martin. “She is a very quiet, caring person with a passion for helping people and making them happy.”
