Mansfield health care company praised in latest CQC report
A health care company which provides vital support for vulnerable people around the Mansfield area has been given the thumbs up by government inspectors.
Oiza Health Care Ltd, which has a base on Weighbridge Road, were given an overall rating of good during their latest CareQuality Commission inspection in March this year.
The company offers personal care help for children and adults in their own home who suffer with issues such as dementia, learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.
The inspection team praised the private company for providing a safe and well-led service and said it was delivered in a caring, effective and responsive way.
“The provider had ensured staff had completed learning disability or autism training,” said the report.
“The provider had a learning culture and people could raise concerns.”
The inspectors also praised the company for creating a safe environment which created an ethos of development.
“The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty,” said the report.
“Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice.
“The provider recorded and reviewed all incidents and complaints, documentation showed that appropriate and timely action was taken in response.
“The provider worked with people and healthcare partners to understand what being safe meant to them and the best way to achieve that.
“Staff concentrated on improving people’s lives while protecting their right to live in safety, free from bullying, harassment, abuse, discrimination, avoidable harm and neglect.”
