Mansfield college students benefit from period equality initiative

Students at Mansfield’s Portland College received a donation of more than £200 worth of period products as part of a new Government initiative.

The phs Group, which are the leading hygiene services provider in the UK, are working with the Department for Education to supply every school and college in England with free period products to support the DfE’s plan to create period equality for all.

A spokesman for phs said: “We’re working in partnership with the Department for Education to implement a new Period Product Provision programme which will ensure free period products are available to students who need them.”
