Warren Bailey, resident at Supported Living’s Corner House, enjoys eating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pasta shapes every week.

Although the team at Corner House had stocked up in preparation for lockdown, restrictions soon meant that Warren’s supply of his favourite pasta ran out.

When local service manager Jo Hardwick was unable to find any in the local shops, she contacted Heinz to see if it could help.

Heinz was unable to supply any directly, as it was producing a limited range of items during lockdown. However, a kind member of the Heinz customer service team sent 12 tins to Corner House after finding them in her local supermarket.

With additional support from Supported Living’s marketing team, who put out an appeal on Twitter, and a kind donation from an anonymous local neighbour, Warren now has enough pasta shapes to last for the next couple of months.

To celebrate, residents and colleagues at Corner House are planning a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-themed party with costumes, pizza and movies.

Jo Hardwick said: “The pasta shapes are Warren’s favourite food, so we wanted to do everything we could to find them.

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us in the search. Your generosity is appreciated and has made a real difference.”
