Man arrested after council workers help officers catch suspect in Sutton
One man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a team of council workers helped police detain a suspect in Sutton.
Officers were called to reports of a domestic incident in the Sutton area at 8.13am on Tuesday, October 13.
When officers arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.
While searching the area, armed response officers spotted a vehicle being driven erratically. After identifying it as the suspect vehicle, officers initiated a pursuit.

After several attempts to evade police, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop when it collided with an Ashfield District Council bin lorry.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found their jobs made easier by a team of council workers, who identified and helped detain one suspect while officers pursued another.
A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst over the legal alcohol limit, and failing to stop. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A second man, aged 39, who was also detained at the scene, was released with no further action.
PC Nightingale, of Nottinghamshire Police's Armed Policing Unit, said: "First of all, we want to thank those helpful council workers who assisted us in making these arrests.
"We would never ask anyone to put themselves in harm's way to help our officers in their duty, however, their courage and sense of wanting to help is truly commendable.
"Reckless driving has no place on our streets. Those who choose to ignore the rules of the road not only put themselves at risk, but also other road users and pedestrians."
