DUS and Leon’s Legacy were inspired by footballer Marcus Rashford’s free schools’ meals campaign, and got together to replicate this on a local scale.

A justgiving page was set up and is still running, whilst a grant from Western Power Distribution was secured.

The partnership has also collaborated with Selston Sarnies, Kingsway Chip Shop and Ocean Blue Fish Bar.

The three businesses then provided meals to their allocated local school, in return for vouchers which Holly Younger (Leon’s Legacy) and Will Stone (DUS) created and delivered to Greenwood, Leamington and Holly Hill primary schools.

Will and Holly are in talks to provide ongoing support to families and children of further local schools during these difficult times.

If you are an Ashfield based business, or school and would like to be involved, contact Will or Holly on [email protected] or [email protected] or call 0330 8806886.
