The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under contract from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the UK and around the world.
In Sutton, green flags have been awarded to Brierley Forest Park, Kings Mill Reservoir and The Lawn.
In Kirkby, flags have been given to Portland Park and Kingsway Park.
The final two for the district have gone to Titchfield Park in Hucknall and Selston Country Park.
