Here are 43 amazing scarecrows entered into Underwood competition

Underwood residents might have been battling the elements for this year's Scarecrow Festival but they still turned out in force as 43 homes took part.

Penny Fell, aged 63 and one of the founding members said: "Every year we get more interest. The winners are voted by the public. There was really bad wind and rain which caused a few problems. A few people put a gazebo over them and voters still went to look at them in wellies." Penny also said the best thing about the competition is to see neighbours talking to each other.
