Here are 14 places in Mansfield and Ashfield offering 'Warm Spaces' - as the energy crisis bites

With the temperature starting to drop and bills rising, several places in the district are offering a ‘warm space’ to relax this winter.
These spaces are completely free to use, with some offering hot drinks and food, as well as offering activities and support.
Energy prices rose sharply in October, and with uncertainty surrounding any future changes to the government’s budgets, warm spaces could prove to be a lifeline for those struggling to afford to keep their homes warm.
Here are 14 ‘warm spaces’ being offered in and around Mansfield and Ashfield.

5. Switch Up Community Hub
Switch Up, on Barringer Road, opens its doors as a warm hub on Thursdays, from 11am-2pm. Free tea, coffee, cake and chat. Photo: m
6. Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group
At Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group, on Park Road, a warm hub is operating every second Thursday of each month, from 11am ro midday. Free tea, coffee and biscuits and hearing aid support. Photo: m
Coopers Pub, Leeming Lane North, Mansfield Woodhouse is offering a 'pub desk scheme' to make use of the pub as a hot desk. Noon-5pm for a cost of £10, including lunch, unlimited soft drinks, tea or coffee; or meeting space, with unlimited tea and coffee, £1.50 per person. Chat and natter tables are available all day, Monday to Friday, free TV, phone charge, squash, tea and coffee, in return for donation to Mansfield soup kitchen. Photo: m
