MoFest took place at George Street WMC in Hucknall on July 4 in memory of Steven ‘Mo’ Morris – a devoted father who tragically died aged 38 in an accident on Alfreton Road in Underwood on July 20 last year.
Money raised on the night went to two charities – the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance and the road safety charity BRAKE – and it was a success Mo would have been proud of.
Rosamund Pocklington, Steven’s sister and event organiser, said: “The gig was a huge success and an amazing evening.
"We managed to raise £1000 for charity and are planning to make MoFest an annual event every July in Steven’s memory.
“The band Skeleton Crew were unable to attend at the last minute due to illness but another band stepped in called The Dan The D to support Anticure and headliners Pariah On Fire.
“I do think my brother would be very proud and he would have loved the bands and the atmosphere.
"Even though Steven is no longer with us he continues to enrich our lives with music, laughter and love because his legacy brings us together.”
