We may be on lockdown over Easter, but there is a way your children can still keep active and get involved with egg-based fun.

ARTventurers have devised a way to get the whole community involved in Easter celebrations while children are out on their daily exercise.

The ‘Big Neighbourhood Easter Egg Hunt’ was thought up by ARTventurers, who run award-winning classes providing a safe, secure and social environment for children to explore their artistic talents.

Last month, families around the country were encouraged to create and display rainbows in their windows, as a sign of hope and to provide something for children to look at while on their permitted daily exercise during the coronavirus outbreak.

Along these lines, families are now being asked to decorate an Easter egg shape however they like, and display it in their window.

When children (and adults) are out on their daily walk, they are tasked with seeing how many they can spot.

Stacey Robinson, who runs the ARTventurers classes for Mansfield and Ashfield explains:

“We want to provide something for children to do during these difficult times.

“It would be great to get more families involved and spread a little cheer in the community.”

ARTventurers have put an egg template on their facebook page, or you can get creative and make your own.

The aim is to encourage children to be creative, observant and active, and to bring a bit of magic and entertainment to what is going to be a strange Easter for us all.
