Forest Runner series comes to Sherwood Pines

The events come to the popular attraction, between Edwinstowe and Clipstone, on October 17 and are being staged by Forestry England

It wants people to challenge themselves and enjoy the freedom, fresh air and scenery of the nation’s forests this autumn by taking part in five and 10-kilometre events.

Peter Rawlinson, from Forestry England’s Active Forests Programme, said: “It’s been fantastic to see how many people have been enjoying running in the nation’s forests throughout the ups and downs of the past year.

"We aim to inspire future generations to run in the forests for years to come.”

Entry to the five-kilometre event costs £20 and £22.50 for the 10-kilometre, plus booking fees.

All money raised will go back into improving the forests.

The events at Sherwood Pines take place from 9am on October 17.
