'Five star' Nottinghamshire housing developer 'helping to boost' the economy

Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Midlands has constructed 622 homes in its operational area in the past 12 months and contributed more than £102 million to the UK’s economic output.

The achievements are highlighted in a new report which measures the housebuilder’s social and economic contribution to the Midlands over the past financial year.

The housebuilder also supported 1,580 jobs directly and through its contractors and suppliers, supported 540 subcontractor companies and manufactured 90 per cent of its components in the UK and hired 19 graduates, apprentices and trainees on various employment programmes.

The report on Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ socio-economic footprint in 2020 was carried out by planning consultant, Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners (NLP).

Barratt Homes is currently building a range of properties in Nottinghamshire, including in Berry Hill in Mansfield.

David Wilson Homes has also recently launched its brand new Thoresby Vale development in Edwinstowe.
