Edwinstowe nursery children paint rainbows in the snow for LGBT+ history month

Children at Cherubs nursery in Edwinstowe have been enjoying celebrating LGBT+ history month by getting artistic.

LGBT+ history month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history.

And at Cherubs Edwinstowe, the recent wintery spell and snow showers, offered children the chance to mark the month in a different way.

Sarah Hickling, nursery manager, said: “At Cherubs nurseries we are proud to have a wonderfully diverse workforce that contribute to the success of our service and high standards of childcare.

"The children enjoyed using powder paints and coloured water to mix colours in the snow to celebrate the festival.

"Our children really do have the most amazing learning experiences whilst also having so much fun at our nursery, nearly as much as the staff.

“There was lots of laughter and clouds of coloured powder floating through the nursery garden while they were out in the snow."
