Edwinstowe man's Christmas single harnessing power of music to help lonely

An Edwinstowe man has used the power of music to capture the plight of families and the elderly coping with loneliness this Christmas.

Working with a creative team Harry Hindley has written and composed a special Christmas charity single with all the proceeds going to Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

The single ‘Christmas Without You’ was released on Friday, November 27, and is already gathering interest across social media and a GoFundMe page with a target of £1,000 has already reached £500.

The single is available on Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music and includes a music video about a young family who tell the story from the perspective of a young girl unable to see her grandfather.

Harry, who is 24, and the director of Copper Entertainment, said “We made ‘Christmas without You' to raise funds for the charity because no one should feel lonely at Christmas.

"Many will spend this festive season separated from family, with so many lost loved ones and elderly people spending their time alone.

“During this lockdown period, I put my pen to paper to capture what just one of many families will be going through with the power of music.

"I am so humbled to have worked with such talented creative companies and artists to create this special charity single.”

Harry, added: “The pandemic has affected us all in a variety of ways and may make this Christmas financially difficult. Therefore we ask if you are in a position to donate more than the initial track cost, we would be massively grateful.

“I want to thank you in advance and we hope you can support this worthy cause and of course, enjoy listening to ‘Christmas Without You’.”
