Eastwood, Kimberley and Broxtowe remember the fallen heroes on Remembrance Sunday

Towns and villages across Broxtowe fell silent at the weekend as people paused to remember the fallen heroes on Remembrance Sunday.

Services and parades took place in a number of villages and towns, including Eastwood and Kimberley as wreaths were laid and traditional two-minutes silences were held at 11am at war memorials across the boroughs.

Young and old took part in the parades, including representatives of the armed forces, uniformed services and community groups and many thousands of people lined parade routes and attended services.

Here are images from the day as the area again put on a superb show of paying tribute to the fallen heroes and ensured they will never be forgotten.
