Domino's: Popular restaurant chain opens new venue in Shirebrook just before Christmas

The brand new Derbyshire Domino’s store opened its doors on Victoria Street in Shirebrook on Tuesday, December 16.

The store held a grand opening ceremony where local community members and customers were invited to meet the new store team and of course, try some freshly prepared Domino’s pizza.

The venue is not only a long-awaited new addition for the Shirebrook’s food scene, but has also offered 20 jobs to the area, including pizza chefs, in store team members and delivery drivers.

Danny Unwin, Area Manager at Domino’s said: “We’re excited to come to Shirebrook to deliver the nation’s favourite pizza.

"We’re also passionate about enhancing our new community with employment opportunities, where people can grow and develop their careers.

"Like so many other Domino’s store managers, I started my Domino’s career in store as a delivery driver. Over the past 14 years I have worked my way up through the business and now I oversee 12 stores as an Area Manager!

"Whether you’re looking for a few extra hours or a completely new career path, there are roles to suit everyone.

“We’re really looking forward to settling in and building strong lasting relationships with the local community, helping to deliver a better future through food people love.”

The Shirebrook store is currently looking for more delivery drivers in the area with online applications open.

The store is open 7 days a week from 11am to 11pm.
