The heartbroken families of Tyrone Forde, aged 22, who had links to Shirebrook and Jordan Caster, 19, organised a joint funeral on Wednesday for the two friends who died in a crash on the M1, near Sheffield, earlier this month.

The car they were travelling in – a white Volkswagen Golf – left the carriageway, hit a barrier and a number of trees before overturning and landing on its roof.

The two men who were from Sheffield died at the scene.

Yesterday, friends joined the funeral procession for the two young men on their final journey.

As a tribute multi-coloured flares were lit as cars, quads and motorbikes made their way to Shiregreen Cemetery in Sheffield where a joint service was held.

Among the floral tributes left for Tyrone and Jordan was a wreath spelling ‘friends’.
