Noah Brett is fundraising for his three-year-old sibling Max, who is deaf and autistic and requires special equipment and treatment to keep him safe and help him overcome his daily challenges.

And despite undergoing diagnosis for autism himself, Noah decided he wanted to help his brother by raising money to buy special toys and paying for his treatment.

Proud mum Rebecca told Chad: “Noah and Max are two very different boys, and Max is currently facing a huge challenge due to being non-verbal – so he struggles to communicate.

"The treatment he needs is, unfortunately, not readily available on our NHS, so we are paying privately for equipment and specialist therapy sessions – but they are not cheap.

"Noah must have heard us chatting about paying for everything as he came to us and asked if he could help.

"They are both such incredible little boys and they have so much love for each other, and the money Noah is raising is making a huge difference.”

Max currently needs specialist treatment to help with his speech, along with safety equipment to assist with his behavioural challenges due to his lack of danger perception.

His dad Ian works for the ambulance service and is currently working overtime to help pay for treatment.

“The occupational therapy and speech and language sessions cost around £440 a month, so this money is such a huge help,” she said.

"Max also doesn’t understand danger so we are having to adapt the house and garden to keep him safe, and buy specialist equipment.

"The costs are never-ending, but we will do everything we can to keep our special boy safe, and Noah is just desperate for his little brother to talk and play with him.”
