Members of Teversal FC under-12s got to meet some exotic creatures.

The 13 boys who were from Teversal FC under-12s team visited Vets 4 Pets on Kingsway, in Kirkby, to handle snakes, bearded dragons and frogs.

Lesley Breed, treasure for the team which train on Sutton Lawn said it would have been a “struggle” for the club to have raised more than £700 for the kits if the Kirkby vets had not stepped in.

She said: “The team loved it handling the animals."
