A baby died from a rare heart defect within hours of being born at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, an inquest was told.

Kit Aaron Richard Callanan, of Church Warsop, Mansfield, sadly passed away on January 15 this year.

Chesterfield coroners’ court, sitting behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic, heard the cause of death was congenital transposition of the great artery.
