"He had a love of superheroes and always had his favourite mini-figures to hand. Logan loved to dress up as a superhero, often casting webs ‘Spiderman style’.

"He could be spotted around school wearing his superhero costume along with his favourite pair of wellies, with his favourite teddy, ‘Bear-Bear’ tucked under his arm.

"Everyone in school knew Logan and cared deeply for him. He had a cheeky giggle that led to an infectious laugh, lighting up the hearts of everyone who worked with him. Staff, pupils, families and the wider community are deeply saddened by the loss of this special little boy.”

The event on March 27 saw pupils across school dress up in memory of their special friend and Spider Man was also on site to welcome children as they arrived.

Marcella Olliffe added: “The love, thoughts and prayers from everyone at Morven Park Primary School is with Logan and his family at this heartbreaking and difficult time.

"Logan will always be a part of Morven Park– the love that we have for him will continue to shine and the special memories that we hold will be written in our school history. We come together, as a ‘Morven Park family’, to hold each other at this immensely painful time.”

Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting collision investigators with their inquiries.

Detective Inspector Jamie Moore, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a devastating incident and our thoughts are with Logan’s family, friends and loved ones.

“The circumstances are being investigated and we would ask the privacy of the family is respected at this tragic and difficult time.

“We’d like to appeal for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward, including anyone with dashcam footage which could help our investigation.”
