The weather warnings were there – and Storm Goretti has duly ensured a snowy start to 2026 for Hucknall.

The result has been a picturesque scene but travel challenges for many with roads and rail affected and some council services affected.

But the snow has also brought plenty of delight for some – especially youngsters.
