Pensioner assaulted while shopping in Edwinstowe

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 74-year-old man was assaulted by a motorcyclist as he did his shopping in Edwinstowe.

The attack happened on High Street, close to the Co-op supermarket at about 1.30pm today (Wednesday 13th August).

A motorcyclist, thought to be in his early 20s, used his blue and white off-road style bike to trap the victim against a wall.

He then head-butted him while wearing a crash helmet.

The victim was treated by paramedics and is extremely shaken by the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area who may have seen the assault or the motorcyclist as he fled the scene.
