PDSA appeal for unwanted festive gifts

Animal lovers across Mansfield and Ashfield are being urged to donate their unwanted Christmas gifts to help raise cash for poorly pets.

PDSA is on the look-out for festive presents that failed to impress this Christmas, from socks to gift sets, books, DVDs and everything in between.

Sally White, Head of Retail for PDSA, said: “Christmas is a magical time of year but there are always a few gifts that don’t quite take our fancy, from ill-fitting jumpers to the unwanted book or the DVD you already own.

“But as the saying goes - one man’s junk is another man’s treasure! Your unwanted presents will suit someone else, so why not donate them to PDSA and help raise vital funds for sick and injured pets in your local area.”

PDSA has 180 charity stores nationwide which raise money to provide PDSA-funded veterinary treatment for the sick and injured pets of people in need.

The charity’s stores also welcome donations of good quality, pre-love items including clothing, homeware, books, toys and DVDs. Sally says: “If you’re having a sort-out to make room for all your lovely Christmas gifts please think of PDSA and make a donation.”
