Parents appeal for missing son to come home

Stuart Higham was last seen by his mum and dad on his 24th birthday, but three years on and the couple are still left wondering of his whereabouts.

Now aged 27, the police and his parents have made fresh appeals to the public and to Stuart to let them know he is safe.

“Stuart has been missing now for three years and the passage of time has not eased our sense of loss,” said Lorraine and Chris from their home at Falcon Way. “We all miss him so much and we hope and pray he is safe and well.

“Any information regarding his whereabouts would be wonderful.”

Stuart, who is from the Beeston area of Nottingham, has not been in touch with his family or friends since 4th January 2011. He was last seen in Mapperley Park, Nottingham, where he had stayed with friends overnight at an address in Cyprus Road.

Officers in the case believe Stuart may have travelled to France soon after the last sighting of him but it is not known whether he is abroad, possibly in Europe, or back in the UK.

Insp Simon Allardice said: “Stuart’s family is naturally very worried about him and his welfare.Three years is a long time to have no news of a loved one.

“Officers would like to speak to anyone who thinks they saw him back at the time of his disappearance or anytime since.

“Could you have given him a lift in your taxi or put him up for the night without knowing who he was? Has he contacted you?

“If you have any information at all please contact us.”

Chris and Lorraine made their fresh appeal through the media last weekend but so far it has failed to deliver any news.

The family have also used the internet to spread the word about their missing son in the hope that even if he is abroad he will hear of their appeals.

Stuart is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall and of a slim build. At the time of his disappearance he had short, mousy blonde hair, green eyes and was clean shaven.

He was wearing a black zip-up, hooded, woollen top with blue jeans and trainers.
