Pair pass 100 mark together

Staff and residents at a Pleasley care home celebrated two very unusual birthdays this month when two of their residents reached 102 within a few days of each other.

Violet Carlin and Rose Wright, both of Magnolia House Residential Care Home, were joined by family members for entertainment from a singer followed by drinks and a buffet.

Sarah Pritchard, team leader at the home, said: “The atmosphere was very happy and the other residents made a real fuss of them.”
