Pair pass 100 mark together
Violet Carlin and Rose Wright, both of Magnolia House Residential Care Home, were joined by family members for entertainment from a singer followed by drinks and a buffet.
Sarah Pritchard, team leader at the home, said: “The atmosphere was very happy and the other residents made a real fuss of them.”

Hide AdRose Wright was born on 6th April 1912. She moved from Yorkshire to the Mansfield area in 1959 and worked at Mansfield Community Hospital as a nurse.
In December 1935, Rose married Sam Wright. The couple had four children and lived on Mansfield’s Goldsmith Street.
The pair holidayed in Scotland in their caravan from the 1960s onwards. In 1980 Rose sailed to New York on the QE2 and has since travelled all over the world.
Violet Carlin, nee Robinson, was born on 2nd April 1912 and was one of six children. She attended Oxclose Lane School, Mansfield Woodhouse, and would go on to work at Mansfield’s Metal Box.

Hide AdShe married husband Robert in Rainworth in 1933 and gave birth to their daughter, Uralia, in 1935.
The couple holidayed regularly at Mablethorpe and Violet was known to enjoy watching motorcycle racing.
