LETTER: Thanks to ‘determined’ councillor
May I take this opportunity to thank Coun Gail Turner for all her hard work whilst being both Selston’s district and county councillor. I am proud and privileged to have worked alongside Gail throughout the anti-landfill campaign, witnessing her motivation and sheer determination, not to mention her attention to detail.
It was a struggle at the beginning to get our ‘local voices’ heard but this became much easier when Gail stood for election at district and then at county level and was duly elected to represent Selston.
All journeys have both a beginning and an end and it is with real sadness that Gail’s journey as a district and county councillor is now at an end but I would like to say ‘thankyou’ for letting me share part of your journey with you.
