LETTER: I object to paying for parking on an ice rink

I spent a lovely evening at the excellent pantomime at the Palace Theatre with my extended family- however, I do object to paying £2 to park my car on an ice rink.
A car park?A car park?
A car park?

I calculated that there were at least 100 families at the panto, the majority of which will have parked in the nearby council car parks.
With an income of at least £200 from the one performance I find it hard to believe that the council cannot afford to grit the car parks.

Furthermore I wonder how many people have been put off visiting Mansfield fearing the poor conditions.

I note that the nearby McArthur Glenn Retail Outlet cleared their car park and other councils in the area are offering free parking over the festive period.
